Ownership, at Genesis, is designed with the same care as the car. The Complimentary Scheduled Maintenance program is one of the quieter parts of that design — and one of the most useful to understand before you sign. Here is what it covers, how the Service Valet fits in, and what to expect during the window.
The coverage, in plain terms
Genesis includes Complimentary Scheduled Maintenance for the first three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first, on new vehicles. The program follows the factory-recommended service intervals published in the Owner's Handbook of Warranty Information. For most Genesis models that means service visits at defined mileage checkpoints, with the work performed by a Genesis-certified technician using Genesis-approved parts and fluids.
What is typically included at those normal intervals: engine oil and filter changes on gasoline models, tire rotations, multi-point inspections, and the fluid top-offs and diagnostic checks specified for that mileage. Cabin and engine air filters, brake fluid service, and other interval-specific items are covered when they fall within the factory schedule during the coverage window. For the electric lineup — the GV60, Electrified G80, and Electrified GV70 — the schedule looks different: no oil changes, but tire rotations, cabin filter service, brake fluid, and battery and drive-unit inspections at their prescribed intervals.
What sits outside the program
A few items are worth naming so there are no surprises. Wear items — tires, brake pads and rotors, wiper blades, 12-volt batteries — are not part of scheduled maintenance. Damage from road hazards, alignment adjustments outside of a covered service, and anything driven by wear rather than time or mileage fall outside the window. Service required because of modifications, off-schedule requests, or fluids and parts not specified by Genesis are also excluded.
Service Valet: the part most owners talk about
The Complimentary Service Valet program runs concurrently with scheduled maintenance for the first three years or 36,000 miles. A Genesis representative picks up your vehicle at home or at the office, leaves a Genesis loaner, completes the service, and returns your car washed. There is no counter to stand at, no waiting room to sit in, no rescheduling of your afternoon. For a Norman physician between clinic and hospital rounds, or an OU faculty lead with a full teaching day, the value shows up as time returned to the calendar.
Service Valet is available within a defined service radius from the certified Genesis retailer performing the work. Norman, most of south OKC, Moore, and Edmond fall comfortably within typical range; we're happy to confirm coverage for a specific address. Scheduling is handled through the Genesis Intelligent Assistant in the MyGenesis app or by calling the store directly.
How it applies across the lineup
The program is consistent, but the cadence varies by model and powertrain. A gasoline G80 or GV80 follows the internal-combustion schedule — oil service at the manufacturer-specified intervals, rotations, and inspections. The 2026 G70 and GV70 follow the same rhythm, with intervals tuned to their engines.
The electric models are simpler by design. Fewer fluids, fewer moving parts, and a service list built around inspection and rotation rather than replacement. Owners of the Electrified GV70 tend to visit the retailer less often during the coverage window — which is, itself, a kind of design decision.
The flagship G90 is treated with the same program and the same Service Valet standard. The intent is that the ownership experience matches the car: composed, unhurried, and largely invisible until you need it.
Using the program well
A few practical notes from the service drive. First, follow the mileage prompts. Genesis vehicles will notify you through the instrument cluster and the MyGenesis app as intervals approach; scheduling within the recommended window keeps the maintenance record clean and preserves coverage on adjacent warranties. Second, keep records in the app. Every visit logs automatically when the service is performed at a certified Genesis retailer, which matters at trade-in and for any future warranty conversation. Third, use the Valet even for short visits. It is not reserved for major service — a routine rotation qualifies, and most owners find that once they've used it, they don't go back to dropping the car off.
What happens after 36,000 miles
Scheduled maintenance and Service Valet conclude at three years or 36,000 miles. The Genesis new-vehicle limited warranty and powertrain warranty continue past that point on their own terms; service after the window is handled at published rates, and we're glad to quote intervals in advance so owners can plan. Certified Pre-Owned Genesis vehicles carry their own coverage structure, which we can walk through when it applies.
Before you decide
The maintenance program is one input among several — alongside the design, the drive, and the way the car sits in your week. If you are early in the research, our current new inventory is a good place to see which models and trims are on the ground in Norman, and our finance team can outline how the total ownership picture looks over a typical term.
The detail rewards a second look. Complimentary maintenance is not a promotion; it is part of how Genesis has decided ownership should feel. Considered, not loud.
We invite you to a private, unhurried drive at Genesis of Norman. Schedule online or call ahead, and we will have the model you are considering — and the full ownership picture — ready to review.
